Can My Dog Eat Gussy’s Gut® if They Have Histamine or Other Health Concerns?Updated 6 days ago

Can My Dog Eat Gussy’s Gut® if They Have Histamine or Other Health Concerns?

We understand that many pet parents have questions about whether their dog can safely start Gussy’s Gut®, especially when it comes to histamines or other health conditions.

Important: There is no universal rule when it comes to histamines. Some dogs, under certain circumstances, can benefit from fermented foods, while others should recover and heal before starting them.

We believe it is unethical to advise on your dog’s health when we sell products for your pet’s condition. This is something that can only be properly answered on an individual basis, which requires detailed knowledge about your dog’s situation. That information is best provided by a veterinarian who has examined your pet in person and/or reviewed their medical records and tests.

Over thousands of customers, we see that most are misdiagnosed or misunderstood. Histamine response typically comes from a gut imbalance, and if so, our products will work great.  If your dog has leaky gut and histamine intolerance, and this is a severe case, your dog may have issues.  We recommend an Innovative Pet Lab test first to see if your dog has any of these more serious issues. You can use code: "GUSSYS GUT" during checkout for the comprehensive gut test kit.

If You Do Not Have Veterinary Representation, we recommend the following:

Here are three good options for pet parents seeking guidance:

  1. (BEST/FASTEST) Holistic Vet List

    • Review the holistic vet list we keep updated. These vets understand Gussy’s Gut® products and offer telehealth or Zoom consults, usually for 1 hour.

    • They charge a fee, but we do not receive any referral fee. This is simply a resource we offer to our customers.

    • We do not have details about their fees or schedules, but you can review their information and research which vet may be right for your dog.

  2. (GOOD/SLOWER RESPONSE) Find a Holistic Vet Near You

    • If you do not have a good veterinarian, check members of the American Holistic Veterinary Association.

    • Many offer remote consultations, which are helpful if you live in rural areas or outside the United States.

  3. (GOOD/SLOWEST) Free Online Community

Until you receive advice from a holistic vet who understands your dog’s condition and can recommend treatment (including fermented nutrition), we do not recommend starting Gussy’s Gut®.

Many of our customers report that after a vet consult, they find the path forward they needed—saving them time and avoiding mistakes.
